Fruits and vegetables I consider them the magic bullet foods when it comes to long life success with body weight. If you are looking for a quick way to make your meals healthier, one way to do so is by just adding fruits and veggies. Now eating fruits is easy but some consider maintaining vegetable in a meal stressful so here are some benefits of fruits and vegetable to help convince you into making the healthy choice.

  1. It beautifies you meal. How many times have you been offered a meal with proper amount of vegetable and a fruit or even fruit drink and you turned it down. I am guessing you haven’t since childhood.

I mean Jollof rice with all the proper carrots, and all make you hungry even when you have just eaten. It’s just beautiful.

  1. It aids digestion. Fruits and vegetables are rich in fiber which helps keep your digestive system running smoothly. A diet which has great fiber content is a great way to stave off constipation and keep you healthy and comfortable.
  2. Reduces Risk of Diabetes. If you start loving green leafy vegetables it is a really good way to reduce the risk of diabetes and fruits like berries help lower risk of preventing type 2 diabetes. So you might want to consider swapping that coke with a fruit drink.
  3. Lower c****r risk. Studies have shown that fruits and veggies can help reduce risk of some cancers. Research conducted by the Health Professionals Follow up study infers that the lycopene found in tomatoes could help protect men against developing prostate c****r.
  4. Cardiovascular health. a rich diet can lower the risk of heart disease. Potassium which can be found in bananas may help to maintain a healthy blood pressure. And the fibers in vegetables assist in lowering blood cholesterol as well as the risk of heart disease.

So don’t forget to go stock your home with some fruits and vegetables. Live a healthy life and remember the more the better. And drink lots of water.
