You had a quarrel with your best friend and have not been on speaking terms ever since. Now that you are about to leave secondary school, write to your friend giving at least three reasons why you should become friends again.

It’s been a long time since we heard or write to each other. How are you? I hope you are finding things easy with your studies. How is everything there in Ibadan? They are fine I supposed. Well, I’m fine her too, except that I’m seriously planning how will come to Ibadan before you finish your final examination.

This letter may come to you as a surprise as we have not been in good  terms for the past two years. The reason for this is you. I have made up my mind that we should stop that idea of sealed lips and turn a new leaf. I have reasons for this decision of mine and that is why I have written this letter to you as a long standing friend.

First and foremost, I have decided to forgive and forget as the scriptures have made us to behave as good Christians. I don’t want us to go back to that again. Let us continue with our friendship.

Secondly, due to the fact that the girl that caused the fight is no more, i.e. I heard that she planned to elope with one man who I later learnt was arrested for armed robbery, and the girl thus committed suicide when she learnt of this. So let us continue or friendship.

Apart from the above reasons, the effect of the fight affected me last year that I had a carry-over in one of my courses, but when I put it off my mind; I was able to do well. I know it also affected you, but now I believe you are more mature, we need to be friends like before.
