Heartaches is a book about two people, although damaged, broken, found love and wants to be given a chance to live better lives.
Anna is a fascinating young woman, she is willing to fight for her love no matter what it would take. Rafe is bold and courageous, even after all he has been through he is still willing to fight for justice, not just for himself but for countless others who has suffered such injustice, like Anna.
Rafe is offered a military job in a base outside their town, and he takes Anna along so they would start afresh, and rebuild themselves. In a bid to escape their past lives and embrace this freedom, they are reintroduced to their enemies. Would they survive this encounter? Would they give up their love and run for their lives or would they stay and fight for their love and freedom?
H.M. IRWING presents a very fascinating story, clearly stating that men and women can suffer abuse, and we should encourage them and seek justice, even when it seems like justice itself is just a mirage.
I am particularly impressed with Anna willingness to fight for love. I an reintroduced into the power of love, self confidence, trust. I understand clearly from this book that dependency is strength, just like unity.
The greatest of our enemies is the closest to us and the our closest ally are those we love. what an irony.
