A Story that Ends With The Saying: Strike while the iron is hot by : 5:02 am On May 21, 2018

Write a story to illustrate the saying: Strike while the iron is hot.

It was one of the busy days in the hostel-the manual Labour Day in the boarding school. It was the usual Saturday morning when all students would have to assemble at the school compound to make a general cleaning which includes cutting of grasses, weeding of grown lawns, sweeping of surroundings, cutting of trees and all other  works that the labor prefect deemed fit.

There was this boy who came from Lagos whose name is Akinsola. We generally call him Akin. While everybody was busy cutting, weeding, sweeping, Akin was busy sleeping at a corner behind the mango tree in the middle of the school compound where the library was. I went to wake him up that morning for we are friends. All he said was that he would cut his own portions when others would have finished, for he would not want anybody to disturb him.

No sooner had we all finished our different portions of the manual labor than Akin rose to his portion.

Those of us that are not used to cutting or farming work from Lagos were helped out by those other students from the Western part of the country.

Akin could not be helped out for those people were tired and so he was in the hot sun wallowing solitarily.
