After a long break, The Nigeria reality TV show is back and it will be shown on MultiChoice Nigeria paid satelite, DStv and GOtv in January 2018. The show is now referred to as Big Brother Naija while some people may mistake it for Big Brother Nigeria but all the same it means the same thing.

The return of Big Brother Nigeria follows the critical success of the second edition which saw aspiring h*p-hop artiste Efe Ejeba winning the coveted N25 million prize money and SUV after almost three months of drama, intrigue, betrayal and entertainment in the Big Brother house.
Speaking on Big Brother Nigeria’s return, the Regional Director, M-Net West Africa, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu said: “Around the globe, the Big Brother format remains one of the most popular genres of entertainment and this is also the case in Nigeria. The edition of Big Brother Nigeria was one of the most successful reality shows not just in Nigeria, but around the continent with a record number of votes and many of the housemates going on to pursue careers in entertainment. We are delighted to have the show return for a third edition and cannot wait for our audiences to once again tune in to experience all of the exciting entertainment that the show is sure to provide.”

The third edition promises to be even bigger as auditions are scheduled to hold in six locations across Nigeria, an increase from the three audition locations from last year.

In the first edition of Big Brother Naija which took place 10 years ago, twelve housemates battled for the coveted $100,000 prize money by performing various mental and physical tasks. After staying in the house for three-month, Katung Aduwak was announce as the winner of the first edition of Big Brother Naija.
However, this highly rated reality TV show has produce some notable stars such as Africa Magic’s Tinsel actor, Gideon Okeke, and TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

As announce by John Ugbe, the Managing Director, MultiChoice Nigeria, “the show was reinvented by bringing back the Nigerian version to draw pan-African audiences for the same reasons that Big Brother Africa did”. He added that the return of the reality show was based on popular demand by people who wanted it back. He told the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos.

Before Applicant are eligible for Big Brother Naija Application for Audition;
You must be a Nigerian citizen over 21 years of age.

A valid international passport.
