President Muhammadu Buhari has instructed the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to stop providing money for the importation of food into the country.

He gave a reason saying that we have achieved food security in Nigeria. As a result, nobody should import food again from foreign countries.

He explained that the foreign reserve would be used for diversification of the economy.
