Facebook Is Making Serious Plans to Monetize Whatsapp
|Facebook Is Making Serious Plans to Monetize Whatsapp by George: 10:04 pm On August 19, 2018|
However, Facebook has announced that they are making some arrangements for Whatsapp monetization. Whatsapp will certainly boost the company’s revenue if they successfully enable monetization in the platform.
While Facebook plans to monetize Whatsapp, they have added some features that will generally benefit businesses when they successfully launch the Whatsapp monetization.
Now, there is a shortcut button for people to connect with businesses on Whatsapp. And businesses can send information such as boarding pass messages to users. There is also an added feature for real-time business support on Whatsapp.
Business will be able to advertise their product/service by creating business chat for the product or service and promoting it on Whatsapp. The promotion will be like this; businesses create chat and Whatsapp links people to the chat after which the business can now send the message they want to convey to the people who are linked to the chat.
Businesses gained access to Whatsapp platform in September 2017, though the total number of businesses making use of the Whatsapp app for business has not actually been disclosed by the company. Facebook, however, stated that they have tested the new messaging app for business with up to 90 businesses which include Uber, Wish and Singapore Airlines.
These recent developments by Facebook, shows that they are planning to monetize Facebook in order to reduce the declining income generation in the company. Facebook could even monetize from Instagram’s ads in stories in addition to the speculated Whatsapp business ads.
Facebook really has a lot of sources that can be used to boost the company’s revenue.
