Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN) was established in September 1960 as a private limited liability company. However, it became a public limited liability company in 1978. Its aim was to serve as a leading food production company in Nigeria and to reduce the need for imported products. The company’s share is also listed in the Nigeria Stock Exchange. It is supported by entities operating in agriculture, livestock feed production and pasta manufacturing .

It aims to accelerate the manufacturing of consumer products through the use of locally sourced materials. The company has over 12000 full and part-time workers.

1. Job Title: Modern Trade Officer – Sales

Location: Eastern, Nigeria

Job Briefing

Identify opportunities to expand our business relationship into selected local supermarkets in the territory.
Manage and develop FMN’s business in existing Modern Trade outlets in a defined territory .
Negotiate and start business relationship with identified outlets.
Manage all merchandisers deployed in existing national chain outlets and ensure that they are working in line with agreed standards.
Prospect for new business in targeted local supermarkets that do not currently buy directly from FMN but meet our selection criteria.

Job Requirements

B.Sc. or HND
5 O’ Level Credits including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.

Experience:

Two (2) years experience in FMCG sales with minimum of one (1) year managing modern trade outlets.

The Person Must:

Good planning, organizing and time management skills
Be self motivated.
Have good interpersonal skills.

2. Job Title: Trade Development Executive

Location: Nigeria

Job Briefing

Responsible for managing and developing all aspects of FMN business relationship/performance with Dealers to ensure KPI objectives are met.
Manage the day-to-day interactions with the Dealer to achieve 100% of the agreed objectives.
Manage the retail redistribution team and ensure all teams deliver against their monthly KPIs.
Coach the redistribution team, working closely with the Area Sales Manager to ensure that training is embedded.
Conduct surveys, gather and report market and competitive intelligence to assist in Managements’ decision making.
Ensure agreed SOPs are strictly adhered to.

Requirements:

B.Sc or HND
5 O’ Level Credits including English and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.

Experience:

Minimum 2 years sales experience in a major FMCG blue chip organisation.

The Person Must:

Be self-motivated.
Have good people management skills.
Be self-driven and target oriented.
Be a good negotiator.
