This is to inform all JAMB candidates offering Mathematics (Maths) that the new Syllabus for 2019/2020 Jamb exam is out. Candidates can download or view the pdf format here. The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination syllabus for Mathematics is designed to prepare the candidates for the Board’s examination.
The following are what the students are expected to achieve through this syllabus: (1) acquire computational and manipulative skills; This syllabus is divided into five sections:

Topic: range, mean deviation, variance and standard deviation.
Objective: Candidates should be able to: calculate the range, mean deviation, variance and standard deviation of ungrouped and grouped data.
4. Permutation and Combination: JAMB 2019/2020 Mathematics (Maths) Syllabus
Topics: (a) Linear and circular arrangements;
Objective: Candidates should be able to: solve simple problems involving permutation and combination.
5. Probability: JAMB 2019/2020 Mathematics (Maths) Syllabus
Topics (a) experimental probability (tossing of coin, throwing of a dice etc);
Objective: Candidates should be able to: solve simple problems in probability (including addition and multiplication).
