This is to inform all candidates applying for admission into various tertiary institutions for the 2018/2019 academic session that the JAMB CAPS have been enabled for the admission exercise. The CAPS stands for the central admission processing system.

Candidates can monitor their admission status and easily know when they have been offered admission through the CAPS.

Whenever a candidate is offered admission, it will be updated on the JAMB’s CAPS portal. Sometimes, a candidate may be given admission without the person even knowing that he/she has been offered admission. Now, with the JAMB’s CAPS, it is easier to monitor your admission status and do the necessary things at the right time.

There are two steps a candidate is required to take on the CAPS portal. One is to accept admission if the candidate has been offered admission in any school and to reject it if the candidate does not like the school or course offered to them. If you accept admission, you won’t be eligible for admission in any other school. However, if you reject it, JAMB will automatically enable your reg number for admission in other schools.

How To Check Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

1. Visit: http://www.jamb.org.ng/efacility/ and login with your registered email address and password to access your dashboard
2. After you have logged in you will see a welcome notice just move down on the page you will see “check 2018 UTME/DE Admission Status on CAPS”. Click on it and you will be redirected to the caps page
3. After clicking on “check 2018 UTME/DE Admission Status on CAPS”, you will see a page showing your JAMB details and your admission status, If you have been given admission, you can now go ahead to accept it or reject it.

Note: If you are using a phone, you may not see the option to check is Admission Status on CAPS, Most phone users may only see the welcome message. The caps page shows only welcome because it requires you to use desktop mode to view the complete page. This is why the chrome browser is recommended if you are a using a phone. All you need to do is go to Chrome option and choose request desktop site for the complete page to display.
