How to Migrate from HTTP to HTTPS (SSL) encryption on Your Blog / website /WordPress Site by : 8:54 pm On September 18, 2017

Setting up an SSL doesn't seem to be easy or cheap when you don't know where to start or how to enable an SSL encryption on your website but i will show you few things you need to know about setting and SSL certificate on your website/blog because i was once search for the solution on how to migrate from HTTP to HTTPS (SSL) on my various website for free.

Normally to setup an SSL encryption on your website you will first purchase a dedicated IP Address and equally pay for your certificated to be signed and authenticated but not everyone can afford the expenses involved that is why I decided to show you few ways you can get free SSL for your websites/blogs.

Before we proceed I must tell you that setting up an SSL might not be easy for newbies especially those who just paid someone to design a website for them and has no knowledge at all apart from writing and publishing but if that is the case then I can help you for a small amount money, send mail to [email protected]

You need to enable HTTPS (SSL) encryption on your website because Google itself has recommended that every website should be encrypted whether your website shares sensitive information or not as they also use it as a ranking signal, which means that it's necessary to enable SSL if you want your website to rank well.

How to activate free SSL encryption on your Blog/ website / wordpress Site
Now I will show you how to get free SSL for your website on self-hosted website or blogger.

How to enable HTTPS for Self-hosted blogs/websites
The best and easiest way to enable HTTPS on your website is to use a good web hosting provider that offers free SSL for their customers and the example of such Web-hosting provider is Inmostionhosting.
I personally use Inmostionhosting and didn't pay a dime to enable HTTPS on this blog neither do I need to install any certificate or key because they enabled it automatically without any stress of any kind.

If your Web-hosting provider dosen't offer free SSL then there are many free SSL providers online that you can use to secure your website for free all you need is to search on online for free SSL providers and you will see the list of those websites that offers free SSL certificate for free but installing it or generating certificates and keys might not be easy if you don't have such knowledge.

How to enable SSL for Blogger
In other to make sure that one of my bloggers blog is not lacking anything I decided to encrypt it as recommended since Google doesn't currently offer free SSL for custom domains and i came across one article onHow To Migrate From HTTP To HTTPS On Blogger Blog With Custom Domains using cloudflare which I followed step by step and was able to secure one of my bloggers blog.
