Reasons Why Teaching Is A Lucrative Profession
|Reasons Why Teaching Is A Lucrative Profession by bossricardo: 5:29 pm On September 24, 2018|
The saying “no man is an island”, is an indication that as human beings, we can never do it alone. To become successful, we need the assistance of others either directly or indirectly. We need some people to teach us different things. All the knowledge we possess at different periods of our lives has been deposited into us by our teachers (these teachers includes: our parents, school teachers, clergy, mentors amongst others). So you can never be wrong if you say teachers deserves numerous accolades.
I give a pat on the backs of all teachers out there for doing a good job of installing sanity, principles, concepts and values to mankind. Even if you teach a small group of people a particular concept of great interest, you are developing the world in your own little way because one or out of that group of people can become someone of great standing in the society tomorrow and see that you played a role in that person(s) development is a thing to be proud of.
However, people have a bad orientation about pedagogy mainly because the majority of teachers around us don’t live a flashy life, teachers always live a modest life to thereby making the society to see them as poor people. Many students even frown at the idea of accepting retainment for a teaching profession. Well, it isn’t surprising since so many students these days acts with respect to the usual myopic societal mentality, always placing money above all other to things, and failing to understand that the greatest contentment that teachers have stemmed from the fact that they are impacting greatly in our world, which is evident in the technological revolution, inventions, innovations and business structures. These are values that the world can’t do without and it is giving values consistently that money is bound to come in abundance. Nowadays teachers even get creative by embracing freelance teaching jobs, private home tutoring, sell video courses online and so on so as to maximize their income instead of focusing only on the regular day teaching job.
Contrary to popular belief, teachers aren’t poor people, living a modest life doesn’t mean that one is impoverished. Though, some teachers out there live a rich and flamboyant life. If you are a teacher, embrace your teaching profession wholeheartedly and have it at the back of your mind that the world at large is sane and knowledgeable because of you.
