Remita Online Payment – Why Your ATM Card May Not Be Accepted? by Blogger: 6:46 pm On September 13, 2018 |
Remita is an online payment portal which has helped simplified payment processes for many services in Nigeria. Although online payment with Remita is not difficult when compared to the bank payment, it is important to note that your ATM card may not be accepted for some reasons listed below. Before you even think of making payment online using Remita, you must ensure that you have registered and linked your bank account to your Remita account. Failure to do that will hinder you from carrying out any online payment on the portal. If you want to be using your ATM card to make payment on Remita portal, you have to first register on the site. To register; login to Remita.net and click on sign up button. Enter your email address, select your country (default is Nigeria), enter phone number (active phone number), first name, last name and type of registration (whether self/SME/Corporate), complete the Google Captcha test and click next. They will send a verification code to the mobile phone number you provided during registration. Check your phone message and copy the verification code. After that, go back to your browser and type in the verification code. If the code you entered is correct, your account will be activated instantly. But wait… That is not all. You will have to login to the email address you used during registration, from there you will see an email that contains all your Remita account credentials (email and password). Copy the password they sent to your email and log in to the Remita portal using the email and password. Once you are logged in, you will be asked to change the default password to your own personal password. Note that the default password is temporary and will expire in some days. So you must change it to your preferred personal password to avoid being logged out next time you use the password. At this stage, you are already a registered member! Congrats … But there are some other important steps you need to take to fully activate your account. You should add your bank account to the Remita account created so that you will be able to make payment online using your ATM card. Note that if the email you used during registration is linked already to your bank account, Remita will automatically import and add your bank account details to your Remita account. In this case, you don’t need to take other actions. But if the email is not linked to your bank account, then you have to properly link it to your bank account. To manually link your bank account to your Remita account, you will have to fill in some online forms and submit to the nearest bank you use. Read more in #Remita, #Bank Tags: Bank ,Remita |
