How to Run A Successful Blog on any Niche (News Blog, How-to Blog, Entertainment Blog Etc)
|How to Run A Successful Blog on any Niche (News Blog, How-to Blog, Entertainment Blog Etc) by Flex: 12:00 am On November 24, 2017|
First of all, before we talk about running a successful blog it is important that we know the meaning of a blog. A blog is a regularly updated website or web page usually managed by an individual or a small group of people. From this definition, it is clear that you must be able to write regularly if you want to start a successful blog. Blogging is probably not an easy job. I have been in the business for years now and I can tell you what was my main limiting factor.
Most people jump into blogging with hope to make some quick cash from it. The truth is that it is neither a quick way to make money nor a shortcut to easy affluent. In fact, if you want to run a successful blog, you must first of all exclude the idea of making money. Most successful blogs today started just as a non-profit website. The idea of making money should not be the major reason why you want to start blogging.
To run a successful blog, you must be able to offer some services or add value to the society. For instance, let’s say you want to start an entertainment blog. We all know that people like entertaining stuffs which they can utilize during their leisure time. Now, our aim is to make this entertaining stuffs available to the society through our blog. Since there are still other blogs in the same niche providing the same service, we must devise other means to make this service more convenient to our users. We must be able to tweak the service in such a way that our users will be able to see some reasons why they should use our blog instead of the many blogs out there.
Since money is not our major aim of setting up the blog, we should also be able to withstand losses because it means we are spending money on something that is not really giving us any income.
‘Something that is not really giving us any income’ , by saying this I don’t mean that your blog would not make money for you. But you should understand that you might not be able to make any any income from your blog even after 2 – 3 years of setting it up depending on how serious you are with the blog and your promotional campaigns.
To run a successful blog, you should be able to promote your blog from time to time. You can’t just keep writing articles for nobody. You should promote your blog, get people to read your blogs etc. You should have the zeal to see people reading your materials even if you don’t make a dim from it.
You should also be able to get people contribute to your blog from time to time. You may not be able to keep writing all the time so you should have the zeal to pay somebody or ask somebody to help contribute to your blog.
Patience is a must have virtue if you want to run a successful blog. Let’s take Wikipedia as an example. Wikipedia started as and is still a non-profit website. They get the money they use for the running of the website from public donation. When Wikipedia was first launched, nobody was able to make any donation to the site. The founders single-handedly sponsored the site until the society started seeing how valuable the site was and people started making donation.
Nothing good comes so easy. If you can be patient and remove the motive of making money, you can run as many successful blogs as you want. And remember once people understand the value of your blog, money becomes yours!
