Taking The Right Diet (Expert Advice)
|Taking The Right Diet (Expert Advice) by akadifast22: 10:50 am On November 24, 2018|
A very popular version of the holy bible instructs man that obedience is better than sacrifice. It pays a lot to obey than taking laws into our ones hands especially if it has to deal with life and death. In some cases while treating a particular illness, a patient is advised by the doctor to stop the consumption of a particular food or foods as the case may be. For example a person suffering from hepatitis B will be advised not to eat beans and oil, a person suffering from diabetes will be instructed not to eat ripe plantain because it contains sugar which is the devil behind the cause of the sickness.
It is pretty hard to suddenly hate and avoid ones best food but it’s the doctor’s commandment which must be obeyed and here is Kunle at the restaurant forcefully eating Semo and vegetable soup. He hates this combination and just sitting opposite him on the same table is a pretty lady shoving a large chunk of fried plantain into her mouth, a plate of Jellof rice with more slices of fried plantain before her. But do you know that what she is eating contains a lot of starch or carbohydrate which when processed by the body like a computer or phone does contains lots of sugar. To break it down both foods compete with each other in terms of supplying massive amount of sugar to the body.
But Kunle is in the dark, in his myopic mind, he dislikes the food. You can see it written all over his uninformed face. Suddenly he speaks out, ‘lya Basira, bring me a plate of Jellof rice and fried plantain and a chilled bottle of soft drink’, did he just say soft drink, ‘come and take this Semo and vegetable soup away’. Minutes later, the food was served. Then he remembered his doctors warning that he might lose his liver because he is highly diabetic. It is all an imagination, he never called lya Basira and he never, life has no duplicate, he thought wisely. He continues swallowing his Semo and chewing the vegetable looking confused but sure he is eating the right food.
