WAEC has announced the 2020 registration for intending WAEC GCE first series Jan/Feb candidates, registration closing and starting dates.

The WAEC GCE first series is the newly introduced exam that holds between January and February. The registration, at the time of publishing this post, is currently ongoing.

The registration for the 2020/2021 WAEC GCE First Series exam is currently ongoing. The form is sold for Thirteen Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty Naira (N13,950) only. It can be obtained from the WAEC registration portal or at any WAEC registration centre (including Cybercafes).

It is important that before you buy the form, you check the available subjects and locations of the exam. This is because the examination will be urban-based and some rural areas will not be included.

The 2020 WAEC GCE registration makes use of biometric verification. The verification will be used during the exam to validate candidates. If you are planning to ask somebody to sit for you, consider that factor.

General Information

• Candidates should do the biometric verification by themselves
• The registration fee is not refundable
• Candidates should upload good quality passport size photographs, not “wait and get” photographs.
• The passport background colour must not be BE BLUE OR RED.
• Candidates should crosscheck their details including names, date of birth, registered subjects to avoid mistakes.
• Candidates should print the exam timetable upon successful completion of the registration.
• Candidates should study the syllabus and also go through the examination rules and regulation.
• A video CD will be given to candidates after the purchase of the form, candidates should endeavour to watch the video.
