can upgrade Your android phone even if Your phone’s manufacturer has
forgotten or just refused to roll out an android upgrade for Your
phone by flashing it with a custom ROM

NOTE; You need to be stone hearted to do this,if You’re not then just
give an expert to flash Your android phone for You because flashing
Your phone could result to bricking and You could void Your warranty,I
remember vividly when Lenovo rolled out an android firmware upgrade
for My tab and I tried to install the firmware and the next thing I
saw was “android error” and the phone couldn’t be fixed again, this
should not be a turn off for You but You really need to know the risks
involved so if You’re doing this its at owners risk.
So are You ready to risk it? If You are then let’s proceed.

Ways To Flash Your Android Phone
You will be learning two real and genuine ways to flash Your android
phone today and the ways are quite simple as long as You can stick to
instructions like a duck to water.
The ways You’ll be learning today are;

#1. Flashing Your phone via an OTA(Over The Air) zip file.

#2. Flashing Your Phone Via Custom ROM

#1. Flashing Your phone via an OTA(Over The Air) zip file.

An OTA or Over the Air Zip file as it is called is a simple and
stressfree way to flash Your phone because it is the file Your phone
automatically checks for and installs when an update is available, but
You can still download the zip file and flash it manually if You want.
To flash the OTA Zip file manually all You have to do is to download
and setup the Android SDK then copy the OTA file You downloaded into
the platform-tools folder after that simply open a command line window
then tune the directory to the location of Your downloaded OTA file.
Secondly reboot Your phone into recovery mode by holding the Volume Up and Power buttons together to see a menu offering an ADB update option.
Thirdly connect Your Android phone to a computer and type adb sideload
[filename.zip] in the terminal/command window.
Flashing will begin and a bar indicating how close or far it is to
completion will be displayed as flashing progresses. When its done
flashing, reboot Your device and Your OS update will launch.

NOTE; No matter what always make a back up before flashing.

#2. Flashing Your Phone Via Custom ROM

The second and final way here to flash Your Android phone is the use
of a Custom ROM,unlike flashing via OTA zip file this Custom ROM
method is quite long so grab a glass of juice and try to maintain
focus because truth be told its not that easy,so what are we still
wating for? Let’s get started.
First thing first in flashing Your phone with a Custom ROM make sure
Your phone has been rooted and custom recovery has been installed or
enabled so now to the main steps.

STEP1.

Make sure the ROM You wish to flash is compatible with Your device i.e
it will work well with Your device and to do this easily You can visit
XDA Developers to know the best updated ROM for Your android
device,Then download the ROM.

STEP2.

After downloading the custom ROM file in its .zip format don’t unzip
it,instead just simply copy it to Your phone’s internal storage

STEP3.

Log off or shutdown Your android phone or tablet and reboot Your
device to recovery mode.

STEP4

Go to the backup area in recovery mode and create a backup of everything in Your phone incase You encounter any problem while flashing Your phone via Custom ROM.

STEP5

Go back to Menu in recovery mode then locate where You saved the zip
file then select it,then follow the commands that will be popping up
on Your screen and confirm that You’re ready to flash Your android
phone or tablet, but its important not to make any mistakes because
once You start it You may not be able to stop it.

STEP6

After flashing leave Your phone for a while for the first boot and if
the flash failed, just go to Your backup and restore Your android phone
or tablet to its previous state.

Flashing Your phone via an OTA(Over The Air) zip file and Flashing Your Phone Via Custom ROM are the two important ways to flash Your phone, hope You learnt it well? If You learnt it well and You’re confident You can flash Your phone Yourself just go ahead and flash it but if You’re scared then the advice for You is that You should give an expert to get it done for You,its not really a hard process but if You’re unwilling to risk it then You need to really give an expert to get it done for You its not free but experts don’t take too much money.
After realizing what’s involved in phone flashing You may decide to leave Your phone the way it is if its not in a bad shape or just forge ahead with Your flashing plans if You really think You need it.

Hope this guide helps You on Your phone flashing quest and You can
share Your experience or a short and easy way to do it if You’ve found
one.
