While Google map can help you locate the address of any company in the world, there is another way you can use to locate the address of any company in Nigeria. In this series of #GSMWeek, I will show you how to check the address of any company in Nigeria with your mobile phone using USSD code.

This method I am about to show you involves sending an SMS to a certain number. This is how it is done; go to your inbox and compose a new message. In the message, type the name of the Company you want to locate, put # in front of the name, type the name of the state and send to 125 or 33000.

For example, let’s say you want to know all the MTN offices in Kaduna, simply type MTN # Kaduna and send to 33000 or 125.
They will reply you with all the addresses of all the MTN offices in Kaduna and from there you can locate the nearest one to you. Note that the service costs N50 per SMS.

In addition, the Google Map can easily help you locate the address of any company both within and outside Nigeria. So the above method is only recommended when you are out of data or not able to access the Internet.

In case you don’t know how to use the Google MAP to locate a company, firm or institution, here is a quick guide for you: simply enter Google.com and search the name of the company, firm or institution. Then on the page that will come up after you have clicked the search icon, look up on the menu. You will see options Like; Web, Image, News, Map etc. Click on Map and you will be taken to the specific page for the address of the company you searched.
