WAEC recently announced that approximately 48,855 results from its May/June candidates are still withheld due to alleged examination malpractice.

If your result is withheld, you won’t be able to access it. Instead, when you enter your PIN to check, you’ll see a bold black remark stating “Withheld.”

WAEC can withhold all or some of a candidate’s results. Unfortunately, withheld results are rarely released. However, there have been instances where WAEC released withheld results after further investigation revealed that the candidates were wrongly accused of malpractice. This means that if you didn’t engage in any illegal activities during the examination, there’s a good chance your results may eventually be released.

On the other hand, if you were involved in malpractice and caught, it’s unlikely your results will be released. In such cases, it’s best to focus on preparing to rewrite the examination.
