Some days after his release by the federal high court in Ikoyi due to the controversial street vibe “I am a yahoo boy” that ravaged the whole city.

‘Soapy‘ came like a disruptive force again in the Nigerian music industry. The song created a lot of division among fans, some fans argued the song vibes is what matters and others argued the content really matters.

Lots of open letters and criticism were sent to the Street Popstar, people felt the song encouraged m@sturbation and other s$xual vices. While others refuted the claims that it was a song to erase sorrow and create liveliness. Rexxie also did this again, credit to the talented producer and the song may be considered the song of the year, another feather on his sleeve.

Shortly after his release, the song was dropped on the 27th of June,2019 to the awaiting and amazing fans who clamoured for his unjust detention by the EFCC.

What made the song so special and accepted was that it came with a dance video called ‘soapy dance‘. The song trend nationwide.
