What is UNN Shopping form? Is the UNN Shopping form for 2018 out? How much is UNN 2018 shopping form? If you are looking for answers to any of the above questions, then continue reading. This article provides information on the UNN 2018 Shopping form, guidelines, costs, and how to apply.

Following the release of the first UNN Admission List (Merit Admission list) for 2018, the next thing we expect them to make available to the general public is the shopping or supplementary application form.

The merit admission list is the list of those who reached the minimum admission cut-off marks for the various courses they applied for. However, those who didn’t reach the minimum departmental admission requirements are not completely denied admission. Such persons can as well get into the University through the shopping form, Lecturer’s quota and the VC list.

The shopping form allows students who were not offered admission on the merit list as a result of low JAMB and Post-UTME scores to change to a lower course where their average Post-UTME scores can easily fetch them admission.

Hence, the shopping form is a great opportunity for individuals to gain admission into the university though may not be into your chosen course.  Those who are desperate for admission usually utilize this opportunity. Note that your name can also come out through the second or supplementary admission list even if you didn’t apply for the shopping form but your Jamb and Post-UTME scores must be high enough to reach the minimum cut-off marks that will be set for the second admission list.

Is the UNN Shopping form for 2018 out? The  Unn 2018 Shopping form is out and interested candidates are invited to obtain and duly submit the form before 10 September, 2018. Below are the available courses and their shotfalls

How much is UNN 2018 shopping form? The university of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN) 2018 shopping form is sold for N10,000 and candiates are to pay the money to the bank.

Things to consider before shopping to any course; while the pressure to gain admission might push you to just shop to any course available, there are some few things you should consider so that you won’t regret your stay in school when you finally get admission.

Consider your first chosen course: before shopping to any other course, you should remember your first chosen course. The course you first chose to read when you bought your JAMB is probably the course you have the most interest in. It is there that your happiness and passion lie and changing it will have a lot of effects on your life and your stays in the university generally.

There is nothing as painful as reading a course you don’t like, a course you don’t have any interest in; it demoralizes concentration. But don’t be afraid; if you follow these recommendations in this guide, you won’t regret it much.

Now, before you shop to any course, compare the course you want to shop with the one you first chose to read. Are they in any way related? If they are not, keep off because you probably won’t enjoy it when you get there. For instance, it does not make any sense for somebody who has dreamed in all his/her life to be a medical doctor to later shop to Agric or Zoology. You may not cope with it.

Consider your subject combination: this is one of the things that prevent people from getting admission through the shopping form. You can’t apply to read to Microbiology in your Post-UTME and later shop to Civil engineering.  If you do, be rest assured that your name will not come out because you didn’t write Mathematics which is the bone of every Engineering course. Always be sure that the subject combination of the course you are leaving is the same as the one you are shopping to otherwise your application won’t gain you admission.

Consider your average Post-UTME scores: before you shop to any course, evaluate your average POST –UTME score to be sure that it will be able to gain you admission into the course you want to shop. Also worthy to note, always be sure that you average Post-UTME score is at or above the general cut-off mark for admission process in UNN. For example; if the general cut-off mark for every department is 200, you can’t be hopping for shopping form with an average Post-Utme score of 199 or below.

Consider How Competitive the Course You are shopping is: in case you don’t know, some courses used to have higher cut-off marks for shopping form than the merit cut-off marks. Reason being that so many people from other departments with high Post-UTME scores may shop to the same course; thereby causing the normal cut-off mark to skyrocket.

I hope that this guide helps. Read more articles in #UNN, #NaijaEducation
